Feasibility Study of 30 MOHP General and District Hospitals
HCI has completed a Finnish funded a well structured
feasibility study of 30 hospitals to assess the eligibility for Finnish
soft loan and to identify the actual needs of biomedical equipment.
The project was completed through two phases. The first phase during 2005 and the second during 2006.
The feasibility study covered:
- Developing comprehensive demographical and health profiles of the 30 cities, districts, or catchment’s areas.
- Health Market analysis of the 30 sites.
- Local Stakeholders’ involvement and interviewing
- Assessment of management capabilities of the 30 hospitals.
- Assessment of available equipment and its status.
- Identifying actual needs of new equipment.
- Assessment of strengths and weaknesses of available human resources.
- Identifying capacity building plan and staffing plan.
- Situational analysis of maintenance system and capabilities and developing action plans.
