Objectives:

To improve the health of underserved Egyptian women and children, the Project will assist the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) to empower individuals, couples, and communities to adopt healthier behaviors related to maternal and child health, family planning and reproductive health.
- To develop and maintain a workable model for integrated MCH, FP and RH services to strengthen the capacities of general and d More news… istrict hospitals and PHC clinics to better serve the needs of their communities, especially priority groups through training, outreach, community participation and social responsibility.

To coordinate with and encourage players from both health and non-health sectors to take responsibility for community health To optimize US-AID investments in Egypt through taking a proactive role in planning activities with other USAID Projects and to collaborate with non-health USAID initiatives, such as the Education Reform Project and other Projects as needed.
Coverage
Two hundred PHC units and its 200 communities, 50 hospitals, and 50 district teams in 12 governorates of Upper and Lower Egypt.
