Pharmacy System
As with any ancillary service, pharmacy is an essential function upon which all clinical departments rely. Because several outlets in the hospital may be involved with drug dispensing, good communications between pharmacists and those prescribing and dispensing medicines are imperative. Moreover, pharmacy expenditures account for a large portion of a hospital’s budget due to the high cost of drugs and medical supplies, which may be vulnerable to waste and damage.
